Reformed TORCH Backs Out Of Deal With HEART OF STEEL RECORDS

March 11, 2009

Swedish metallers TORCH have apparently backed out of their previously announced deal with Italy's Heart Of Steel Records. According to the label, "Out of the dark, this morning [Wednesday, March 11[ we got a very short message from the TORCH management, letting us now that the band just signed with another label, simply 'cause a bigger amount of money was offered to them. And with no chance to discuss with them any possible new agreement. This happened AFTER that the band's management confirmed to have sent to our label both, the final audio master and the signed contracts, and AFTER the same management already supplied us with the final artwork, and AFTER we've talked with their management about future plans of touring, etc."

TORCH's new album, entitled "Dark Sinner",is scheduled for release this spring. The CD is said to be "best-of" collection of sorts, featuring re-recorded versions of the band's biggest and best songs as well as two never-before-released cuts.

"Dark Sinner" track listing:

01. Warlock
02. Beyond The Threshold Of Pain
03. Fire Raiser
04. Watcher Of The Night
05. Battle Axe
06. Hatchet Man
07. Gladiator
08. Sweet Desire
09. Electrikiss
10. Hot On Your Heels
11. Sinister Eyes
12. Thunderstruck
13. Beauty And The Beast
14. The Dark Sinner (previously unreleased track)
15. We Will Fight (previously unreleased track)

Following the release of "Dark Sinner", TORCH will embark on an European tour, plus they will spread some classic Swedish steel at one of biggest heavy metal festivals in Europe, the mighty Sweden Rock Festival, which will be held June 3-6, 2009.
